# Identity and SSO
Cursor
- + SAML 2.0 SSO (Business+)
- + SCIM automated provisioning/deprovisioning
- + Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace tested
- + Admin dashboard for seat management
Windsurf
- + SAML 2.0 SSO (Teams and Enterprise)
- - SCIM only on Enterprise tier
- + Okta, Azure AD support
- - Less mature admin tooling vs Cursor
# Privacy Mode and Code Training
Both Cursor and Windsurf offer "privacy mode" / "do not train" options for Business and Enterprise plans. Here is what this actually means:
Cursor privacy mode
- + Your code is not used to train Cursor models
- + With BYOK: requests bypass Cursor servers entirely
- + Available on Business tier and above
Windsurf privacy mode
- + Your code is not used to train Windsurf/Cognition models
- + Available on Teams and Enterprise
- - Requests still route through Windsurf infrastructure
Neither privacy mode protects you from the underlying model provider (Anthropic, OpenAI) seeing your code. For maximum privacy, use Cursor BYOK + privacy mode with an on-premises model or an API provider with your own data agreement.
# IP Indemnity
IP indemnity means the tool vendor will defend and indemnify you if a third party claims that AI-generated code in your product infringes their intellectual property.
Cursor Enterprise: IP indemnity
Available on Enterprise (custom pricing). Covers AI-generated code used in your products. Consult vendor for exact scope.
Windsurf Enterprise: partial
Windsurf offers partial indemnity on Enterprise. Scope is narrower than Cursor Enterprise as of April 2026. Cursor is more mature here.
# Pricing at Scale
| Team size | Cursor Business ($40) | Windsurf Teams ($40) | Windsurf Enterprise ($60) |

| 25 seats | $1,000/mo | $1,000/mo | $1,500/mo |
| 50 seats | $2,000/mo | $2,000/mo | $3,000/mo |
| 100 seats | $4,000/mo | $4,000/mo | $6,000/mo |
| 250 seats | $10,000/mo | $10,000/mo | $15,000/mo |
| 500 seats | $20,000/mo | $20,000/mo | $30,000/mo |
Verdict
Cursor has the more mature enterprise stack in early 2026: SCIM provisioning at Business tier, stronger IP indemnity, and more complete audit log coverage. Windsurf Enterprise is competitive on price ($60 vs custom for Cursor Enterprise) and is closing the gap under Cognition, but Cursor Business at $40/seat is the better-documented, better-tested enterprise option for most teams right now.
For teams of under 50 where the primary requirements are SSO + privacy mode, both Cursor Business and Windsurf Teams ($40/seat) are functionally equivalent. Choose based on the tool your developers prefer for daily use.
